AppRidge offers an extensive and unique array of analytical technologies for detailed structural and physicochemical characterization of carbohydrates of interest to the biomedical and pharmaceutical communities.  These analyses  may lead to useful structure/property relationships.  Using NMR, we have structurally characterized fungal carbohydrates, such as glucans, mannans, and fructans, isolated from oat as well as the cell wall of fungal species such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candida albicans, C. auris, C. glabrata, C. sake, C. haemulonii, C. tropicalis, Debaryomyces hansenii, Acremonium diospyri, Aspergillus fumigatus, Malassezia sympodialis, and Cryptococcus neoformans.
