Analytical Technologies

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

Proton and multinuclear solution-state 1D and 2D NMR from 600 to 800 MHz and solid-state NMR at 360 MHz. NMR is the most powerful analytical technique available today for the structural characterization of complex carbohydrates.

GPC/MALLS/RI

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) with Multi-Angle Laser Light Scattering (MALLS) detection and refractive index (RI) detection provides a measure of the carbohydrate polymer molecular weight, polydispersity and solution conformation.

GC/MS

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR)

BioLayer Interferometry (BLI)

Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) for linkage, monomer type and monomer substitution analysis based upon permethylated alditol chemistry.

BioLayer Interferometry (BLI)

BioLayer Interferometry (BLI)

BioLayer Interferometry (BLI)

Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) is an optical biosensing technology that analyzes biomolecular interactions in real-time without the need for fluorescent labeling.  BLI allows for a higher volume of information to be obtained in a quicker amount of time compared to traditional processes. BLI is applicable to the quantification of carbohydrate ligand-receptor binding, protein interactions, and properties of reaction kinetics, such as rate constants and reaction rates.

Endotoxin Testing

BioLayer Interferometry (BLI)

Endotoxin Testing

Endotoxin testing looks for bacterial endotoxins, members of a class of phospholipids called lipopolysaccharides (LPS).  LPS are found in the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria and are released after death and lysis of the bacterial cell. The presence of LPS can impact adversely biological testing.
